February Web Facts Have you ever wondered where you can find info about our Annual Message or our Heritage? How about who's on our Leadership or Committee Teams...or our annual Objectives? Well, if you have, then check out the About tab on our website. Each of those topics has a link that takes you to the latest info about our MVIFS organization. January Web Facts One way to help our newer members remember names and associate names with faces is to add our picture to our member profiles. When you do this, your picture appears along side your name in our Member Directory which is available on our homepage. It’s pretty straightforward to do this. Sign in to our MVIFS website using your password. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Select ‘View Profile’ in the drop down box that appears. Then select the blue ‘Edit Profile’ box in the upper left section of your screen. At the bottom of the profile screen, right under ‘evening phone’ is the Bio Picture area. Click on select picture and it takes you through the process of adding your picture to your profile. It’s pretty straightforward. However, if you would like to add your picture but you’re not comfortable going through this process, send your bio picture to me and I’ll be glad to add it. | July Web Facts Looking for a quick way to access event or member contact info? That's all there is to it. It's pretty straightforward, but let me know if you have questions. December 2019 Web Fact: Smart phone apps. We now have a smartphone app that lets us access MVIFS wine club information. There are 4 modules: Members; Events; My Tickets; My Profile. In addition to viewing the member directory, we can update our personal profile and email other members. You can also see and register for all upcoming events. 'My Tickets' shows you the events you are registered to attend. 'My Profile' shows your MVIFS info and allows you to update your info. There are 2 main things you cannot do with the iPhone app. You cannot renew your annual membership, and you cannot access the website to see homepage info. These need to be done on the main website using your web browser. To download the app, go to the Apple App Store (or Google Store for the Android version), search for 'Wild Apricot for Members', and download the app. Next you'll be asked to agree to the terms of use. Then you will log in using your email and MVIFS password. You will see the 4 modules at the bottom of the screen. Tap the modules and they open up for your use. They are pretty straightforward to use, but let me know if you have questions. August 2019 Web Fact: You can use your iphone/iPad to access events, member directories and more. If you're interested, go to your App Store, look for 'Wild Apricot for Members,' and download it. After agreeing with the terms of use, enter your log in info and take a look. Let me know if you have questions. There's also a smartphone app for Android users. Go to the Google Play store, search for the Wild Apricot for Members App, log in and give it a try. I'm not an Android user, but I can work with Wild Apricot to get your questions answered. | March Web Facts This month we're revisiting the 'Directory' area on our home page. Have you ever wanted a phone number, email address or street address for a member? Check out the Directory tab on our home page. Each member has a line with key info. If you click on that line, it expands to show more info. You can either use the search box at the top or scroll down line by line. November 2019 Web Fact Membership Renewals: Some have asked about the Membership Renewal process. We notify members that their membership is expiring 21 days before expiration date. Reminders are sent 7 days before expiration and on expiration date. If membership is not renewed within 28 days of the expiration date, the system removes the membership records from the data base. Payment of dues is easy - same process as paying for an event. Selecting the payment button takes you to the payment screen where you can use your credit card to complete the renewal process. October 2019 Website Facts: 1. Member contact info is located in the directory tab. You need to be signed in to access it. Click on a member's name and the line expands to show complete name/address info. 2. Membership contact data is private and is not to be used for commercial purposes. September 2019 Web Fact: The Directory tab appears only after you sign-in as a member. Initially you see 1 line per member. But, when you click on an individual member's name, it expands to provide complete contact info for that person. It's very useful when you want to contact members. Board & Committee status reports are also available after signing in. Select the 'News & Events' tab and you will see 3 selections below it. Click on the 'Comm. Reports' line and you will see our status reports from our Board Meetings as well as our monthly Website status reports.
