  (Update: Heuston Woods Lodge is now unavailable on 25 October, so we've changed our destination.)      

  Get Away Without Traveling Far and sign up for our Road Tour to Wilmington, Ohio scheduled for October 25th. The Tour includes a beautiful autumn drive followed by pay as you go drinks and dinner at Roosters, 1045 Eastside Dr, Wilmington, Ohio, 45177. We have the backroom at Roosters reserved from 4:00 to 7:00PM for the tour group.  You'll be able to order dinner and drinks directly off the menu. 

  Mike and Carol Self are our Tour Masters and have mapped out a fun afternoon of touring interesting sites and back roads.

  For our November Dine Around, we’re heading to Tuscany’s Italian Restaurant, a true hidden gem in Centerville. Everything on the menu is made fresh daily—pizza crusts, sauces, bread rolls, and more—all from time-honored family recipes passed down from Grandma herself.

  Because of the restaurant’s cozy size, this Dine Around will be spread over three nights to ensure a relaxed dining experience. Each evening is limited to 12 people, so early sign-up is encouraged.

  There is no cost to attend other than the price of your own meal. Guests are welcome.

  This is the kind of place you’ll likely want to return to on your own!

  Please join us for an early Thanksgiving-themed dinner and celebration with our MVIFS friends.

  
  

  • Charlie McKenzie will deep-fry several large turkeys for the event and, if you've never had fried turkey, prepare yourself for a real treat.
  • Please bring your favorite thanksgiving-themed side dish and a wine to share.  Single members should bring either a side dish or a bottle of wine, but you can bring both if you really want to.
  • A highlight of the evening will be the chance to "grade" the turkey carving skills of 3 or 4 of your fellow MVIFS members that Rose has coerced into performing this critical mission.
  • The Barn at Stonehill Village is a wonderful venue with room for all.

  Baby, it’s cold outside - but the wine’ open, the fondue’s bubbling, and fun and laughter are keeping us warm!
  

  If you’re still braving the Ohio winter, this cozy afternoon is your reward!   We’ll be opening some good bottles of wine that were left over from last year’s parties - so nothing fancy, but plenty of fun.    You’re welcome to bring another beverage of your choice!

  Brrr … It'll be the depth of winter; cold, dark and snowy, and the perfect time to slurp your way to happiness with a warm bowl of soup.

  Please join Ginny and Charlie McKenzie and your MVIFS friends who have not gone south for the winter for a cozy get together at McKenzie Manor, 2844 Wilmington Dayton Rd, Bellbrook, OH 45305. Charlie promises to have fires going inside the Manor and outside in the patio firepit for those hardies brave enough to face the cold. And, to warm your insides before the soup is served, Charlie will open his extensive bar for cocktails and drinks. 

  Please bring your favorite soup to share or a side that complements soup or an appetizer for the social hour. We'll have water to drink, but you are welcome to bring you favorite wine or beverage if you want to. This will be a simple, but satisfying meal - primarily soup and bread, and we'll provide the bread.
