April Dine Around - The Florentine Restaurant

Our April Dine Around takes us back again to one of Ohio's hidden gems, The Florentine - the second oldest inn in Ohio.  The new owners of the Florentine will be making some improvements to the bar and dining area while maintaining the rustic atmosphere.  Most of their wonderful food items will remain on their menu.

The Florentine Hotel opened in the early 1800's  by the founder of Germantown to welcome travelers as they passed through Germantown.  Over the years, it thrived as a hotel and restaurant.  But, by 1940, it was primarily a local bar with few live-in tenants.  Finally, in 1974 it closed it's doors for 2 years until it was purchased by two local couples who restored the interior and exterior before re-opening as a full service restaurant in August 1979.  Now, The Florentine is an American steakhouse restaurant with a unique historic atmosphere.  Recently it was recognized in 'Best of Dayton' as one of the best 'Hidden Gem Restaurants.'  Join us at The Florentine for our April dine around.
