Curated Bourbon Tasting & Barbecue Dinner
Saturday, June 14, 2025, 6 PM
**UPDATED**

We are excited to share some ADDITIONAL details about the upcoming Barbecue & Bourbon Evening!
Joining us for the event will be an expert on the history and making of bourbon, Ryan Burnette of Pleasureville, Kentucky. His farm on the heart of the bourbon trail has been in his family since 1786 when his 4th great-grandfather bought it from Daniel Boone's brother.
With wit and style, he'll be connecting the story of bourbon to the history of Kentucky and America, with a tasting of 5 diverse and excellent bourbons. Then we'll enjoy a full barbeque with beef, chicken, and pork and all the trimmings.
You don't have to be a bourbon drinker to be in for a treat. Feel free to BYOB of any type, and perhaps even bring an after-dinner cigar for enjoying by the pool or fire pit. (The event is on, rain or shine.)
Parking is available but somewhat limited on this hilly street, so carpool or Uber if you can. Just remember, once you enter the stone gatehouse entrance on Big Hill Road, GPS is usually wrong. Just go right, then take the VERY FIRST LEFT on to Wood Hollow Road. Numbers are on the mail box posts.

We'll see you for this very special event!
**********Original Announcement**********
Join us for a guided bourbon tasting, featuring a carefully-curated selection of five outstanding bourbons… four high end, and one super-top shelf. Each of the five 1 oz pours will be paired with a “side note bite,” highlighting how complex bourbon flavors can be enhanced and expanded with just the right food pairing. We’ll be poolside (weather permitting), but rain or shine, an evening to remember.
Following the tasting, a barbeque dinner will be served featuring beef, chicken, traditional sides, and desserts. For after the tasting, those wishing to bring additional bourbon, wine or other BYOB choices are welcome to do so. Mark your name on your bottles!
Another traditional pairing is bourbon and cigars – so feel free to bring a cigar for after dinner, and head to the secluded “Cigars Under the Stars” patio.
IMPORTANT: Parking is limited, so carpool or Uber is recommended. ALSO PLEASE NOTE: GPS is often not accurate in this neighborhood, so PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS which will be emailed to those who confirm.
Attendance is limited to 60, and reservation cutoff is June 10. $40 per person.
